I suppose some people out there might be wondering why I don't post about my bills on here. Of course I have bills (cell phone, credit cards, car insurance, Atti's dog insurance, Netflix, etc.) but that's not what this blog is about. This blog is about the extra spending. Plus, I don't know if I really like the idea of my bills and finances to be on display like that. It feels just a touch too personal.
Hope you understand.
Also.. Happy Friday!
I'm trying to simplify my shopping for the next few months. I'm hoping I will be successful.

Daily tracking
Every day I think I'm not going to spend money, I end up spending. I guess I'm just not very good at this as a second time around. But anyway, here goes..
Wednesday
Victoria's Secret: $5.80
(I exchanged a bra and got underwear to match it)
Hot Topic: $55.64
(bought a cute dress and necklace for my upcoming birthday night)
Thursday
No spending! Finally!
::rejoices::
Now if only I can keep this going. Well.. I know Saturday I won't because I'm meeting up with a friend for dinner, drinks, and a movie. Yay for friend dates. We haven't seen each other since before Christmas so there's definitely some catching up to do. But, I will try to keep the spending to a minimum.

I ended up going to the grocery store yesterday, not so much for the impending snow, but because I really just needed food. Sometimes that happens, ya know? Anyway the store was mega-crowded and totally picked through, but I managed to get some good stuff anyway. Now, onto the finances!
Tuesday
Giant: $98
gas: $35
(I know I just got gas on Monday too but I decided to fill up and use my $0.10/gallon off before it expires)
Went out for tacos and beer last night too. Lucky for me, I did not have to pay. Yay for nice guys that treat me to tacos. I like them. Or him, namely. We've only been dating for about a week but I'm having a good feeling about this one. ::fingers crossed::
And to anyone who has it...enjoy the snow!

Ended up realizing I have an early doctor appointment tomorrow so I decided to go out and fill up the truck so I don't have to do it while I'm on the way.
Monday
gas: $30.06
Tomorrow is going to be a doctor visit filled day, so I doubt I'm going to be able to spend any money. Which is a good thing!

Someone, please smack my hand.
Or at the very least block me from looking at stuff on Amazon. That site is so sneaky with its suggestions of things I may like. I am bad and I broke my own rule about shopping and ordered myself a new cell phone case. Granted, it is super cute and was not very pricey. But still. I didn't need it. I guess I will consider it my birthday gift to myself, which I will allow. I kind of have to anyway...the thing's already been paid for.
Sunday
Amazon: $20.93
(cell phone case + shipping)
Ok. From here on out I am promising myself I will be better.
Tomorrow is a new day.

The countdown begins
It's two weeks until my birthday. This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of my 21st birthday. I have no idea what I want to do yet. Most likely there will be a dinner with my parents, because that usually happens every year. Besides that, no idea.
Any suggestions?

So much for not spending.
I ended up having to go to the grocery store today. I ran out of iced tea, and that just simply will not do. I also ended up buying two avocados to make guacamole. All in all I spent less than $6.
Sunday
Giant: $5.67
Not so bad, right? Everybody's gotta eat.

No-spend Sunday
I'm pretty sure today will be a no-spend day. Hopefully tomorrow will too.
Lazy Sunday, commence!

It's Saturday. Of course that's the day most people choose to run their errands, and I am no exception. So here it is. My first post about spending.
Saturday
Target: $16.25
(a tank top, candle, and hand soap refill)
lunch: $5.29
(a burrito from Fiesta Burrito Bar. NOMS!)
Hopefully the burrito is good, considering I haven't tried this place before.
Happy Saturday!

And she's back!
Hello there!
After a few years of hiatus, I am back! I have decided to stop the shopping a second time, in order to gain better control of my finances. One major plus right now is that I'm temporarily staying with my parents, so I don't have any rent or utilities to pay. But I still need to be saving, so I can get outta here again someday, haha. Currently I'm living off unemployment, but I'm in the job search process. It's an ongoing, tiresome affair.
I met with a recruiter at JFC Staffing this past week and he said he has some promising leads for me, he just needed a few days to get my portfolio ready to show his clients. Hopefully I will be hearing some positive news in the coming weeks. It seems that the skills I gained in the medical records department of my last job will be a huge asset, because a lot of practices are turning to electronic medical records now.
Anyway, it's pretty early in the morning so there's no spending for me to speak of. Yet.
Stopping the shopping begins again TODAY!!
