It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood

It is absolutely gorgeous out. Finally. I hope this weather sticks around and doesn't revert back to the cold bullshit we were dealing with until just this past weekend.

Monday
$0

Hurray for another no spend day.

Yesterday I did a trial run to the new job. It's close to an hour from my house and I had never been there before so I figured it was a smart thing to do. I got there by 8am, but only barely. Mainly because I got stuck in a traffic jam so a buncha jerks could rubberneck at an accident that happened in the opposite lane. Love when that happens. So yeah, that was 20 mins wasted on the road.

Speaking of the new job, I start tomorrow. I'm happy about it, but definitely nervous.

Tuesday
$0
(so far..)

Let's get ready to rummmmmmmmble!!!

I was told WrestleMania was today. Hence, the title of this post. Not that I will be watching, but ya know..

Sunday
$0

My stepbrother and his family came over for the afternoon today. While they were here I taught my 4 year old nephew how to box and play Mario Kart on the Wii. Go me.

Have a great rest of the weekend, folks!

Le sigh

Today was another errand day. And I overspent, like an idiot. But here goes!

Saturday
Giant: $80
Escape Salon: $35
(foil highlights + tip - I got a sweet deal!)
Hot Topic: $25
(a dress and a shirt...I had coupons and a birthday discount)
Victoria's Secret: $85
(ouch...but I love nice underwears)

So yeah I overdid it today a little bit. But soon I will have regular paychecks rolling in so I guess it isn't so bad. But I'm still going to try and control the spending because why waste money?

Today was a good day

This morning I met with my recruiter and set everything up to start the new job next week. Passed a drug test. Got fingerprinted. Submitted for a background check. All is good to go. I also met a new friend for lunch this afternoon, someone who suffers from some of the same health issues I have. It was nice to have someone who really understands, finally.

Thursday
$0

Friday
Child Abuse Clearance: $10
Gas: $35.01

Hopefully the weekend brings out some fun.

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

Happy hump day!

I hate that expression, btw.

Anyway onto the spending!

Tuesday
$0!

Wednesday
Super Shoes: $40
(2 new scrub tops for the new job)

I was tempted to look at the sneakers too, considering I was at a shoe store, but I restrained myself. Fun sneakers are always good for work. I like fancy, bright colored shoes. I will probably be looking for a new pair once I get a couple of paychecks under my belt.

Funday Monday

Today was a great day. I did spend some money, but it was worthwhile spending. My dog, Atticus, has been having a lot of accidents lately and so I decided to call the vet to see if there was anything we could do. Turns out they make medicine for that! So now Atti is on Pro-in twice a day, which should hopefully stop him from needing to pee like every 5 minutes.

Monday
Banfield: $25.18
(doggie anti-pee meds)

Now onto the great part of the day. I had a job interview this afternoon, with Hershey Medical Center. The job is in the Urology department and what they need is someone to help convert paper charts to electronic charts, and pre-load patient information into the e-chart. Doesn't sound so bad. And I got the job! I don't know when I will start yet, but it should be within the next week or so. *happy dance*

The next thing is getting back to the temp agency to meet with my recruiter and fill out all my paperwork. Plus get all my papers submitted for a background check and child abuse clearance. I've been through all of this before, when I worked for Wellspan, but it's still a huge pain. Especially the child abuse clearance because I need to remember every address I've lived at for the past 10 years. I've moved a lot, so it's kind of tough. Remembering all the zip codes is the worst.

Anyway.. considering it's nearly 3am I should really get some sleep.

Goodnight, whoever happens to be reading this!
